Day 1 - Sunday, July 7, 2024

07:00 AM, departure by bus to Budapest Airport.

04:45 PM, flight with Wizzair to Lisbon, arrival at 07:50 PM.

Departure by bus to Setubal (50 km), accommodation for 2 nights.

Day 2 - Monday, July 8, 2024 (Setubal)

08:00 AM, breakfast. Relaxation at Praia de Figueirinha.

Day 3 - Tuesday, July 9, 2024 (Coimbra)

08:00 AM, breakfast. Departure by bus to Fatima (175 km), visit the Chapel of Apparitions.

Departure by bus to Coimbra (85 km), the old capital of the country. Accommodation for 2 nights.

Visit the Old Cathedral (€2.50), the University from 1290, and the Joanina Library (€13.50).

Walk in the University Botanical Garden.

Day 4 - Wednesday, July 10, 2024 (Porto)

08:00 AM, breakfast; 09:00 AM, departure by bus to Porto (120 km).

Visit the Cathedral and Livraria Lello.

Take a cruise on the Douro River (€15). Optionally, taste Port wine at Ferreira Cellars (€19).

Return by bus to Coimbra (120 km).

Day 5 - Thursday, July 11, 2024 (Batalha, Alcobaça, Mafra)

08:00 AM, breakfast; 09:00 AM, departure by bus to Batalha (80 km).

Visit the Batalha Monastery (40 km).

Departure to Alcobaça (25 km). Visit the Alcobaça Monastery (€6).

Departure to Mafra (110 km). Visit the Mafra Palace (€6).

Departure to Lisbon (45 km), accommodation for 3 nights at a 3-star hotel.

Day 6 - Friday, July 12, 2024 (Lisbon)

8:30 breakfast

Stroll through Praça do Comércio, located on the banks of the Tagus River, built on the site of the former royal palace destroyed in the 1755 Lisbon earthquake.

Visit the oldest district of the city, Alfama, with the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maior, built by King Afonso I after the city was captured from the Moors in 1147, and take the elevator to São Jorge Castle (€10/€5).

Continue the walk in Praça do Rossio, the most lively area of the city (Café Nicola), and visit Igreja de São Roque.

Day 7 - Saturday, July 13, 2024 (Lisbon and Sintra)

08:00 AM, breakfast; 09:00 AM, departure by bus to Sintra.

Visit the Pena Palace and Park (€20), built in a romantic style.

In the afternoon, head to Cascais for a beach day.

Watch the sunset from Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe.

Return to Lisbon in the evening.

Day 8 - Sunday, July 14, 2024

Visit the Jerónimos Monastery (with the tombs of Manuel I, Vasco da Gama, and Luís de Camões), the Belém Tower, built in Manueline style by King Manuel I (€12/€6), and admire the Discoveries Monument.

Monday, 01:10 AM, arrival in Budapest, accommodation at a 3-star hotel.
